ANALYSIS OF VIVO (2021) CHARACTERS’ HEIGHTS

According to Children’s Wisconsin, female children of Gabi’s age are around 4’2″ to 4’9″ in height. Considering that Gabi is of Cuban descent, we estimated her to be on the lower height limit of about 4 feet and 2 inches.

Then, according to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, Kinkajous grow at around 1 foot and 8 inches. So, we estimated Vivo to be around this height, which is consistent compared to how he stands beside Gabi in show pictures.

Lastly, we estimated Marta’s height to be 5 feet and 8 inches since she looks at least a foot and a half taller when standing beside Gabi in the movie poster.

According to Vivo’s Fandom Wiki page, Gabi is ten years old.

Then, we estimated Vivo the Kinkajou’s age based on the timeline from when he met Gabi’s grandfather, Andres, to the time he met Gabi, as shown in the movie while also factoring in the expected behaviors of Kinkajous.

According to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, Kinkajous stay with their mothers until two years of age. If Vivo left his family at around two years old and then lived with Andres for some time, we estimated him to be about five years old.

Lastly, considering that Marta is Andres’s former love interest, we estimated her to be around 55 years old, considering that Gabi is ten years old and Marta should be around the age of people who have grandchildren.
