Let’s take a look at how these artists unleashed their talents and creativity with our list of the best fanmade Pokémon Starters evolutions!


1. PIKACHU

The first in our Pokémon list would be the electric-type Pokémon Pikachu, the part of Pokémon’s debut. Who wouldn’t recognize this Pokémon with its cute characteristics? Pikachu’s fan-made Pokémon evolution will surely release your inner child! Imagine Pikachu growing at a slow pace instead of an instant evolution.


2. SQUIRTLE

Squirtle, the turtle-like Pokémon that we have loved ever since evolves with a twist! Originally, we have Wartortle and Blastoise, but the artist has created a unique evolution of Squirtle beginning to sprout delicate ears and turns into Spratle. This Squirtle Evolution is interesting because of the distinct features added with every evolution.


3. BULBASAUR

This artist has provided us with a Bulbasaur super evolve in this artwork! Bulbasaur is a grass/poison Pokémon, which was also introduced in Generation I. This artwork was named Bulbasaur Super Evolve by creative director Sheharzad-Arshad, wherein Bulbasaur can evolve into Fruitasur instantly with no more evolutions in between.


4. CHIKORITA

Another fantastic artist with the username AmbroshiaDelish in Deviant Art Gallery created this Chikorita Evolution with a remarkable concept. Instead of green, the Pokémon is blue and with ice features characteristics that are very different from our usual Chikorita! You would have endless imaginations with its new skills and abilities about ice.


5. CHIKORITA II

Artist InProgressPokémon excellently did another Chikorita’s Evolution. It consists of five stages from beginning to super evolve. Distinct features are added per evolution stage and are very detailed and well done. On the website, Stephen Reyes further lists other evolutions.


6. CHARMANDER

In this Youtube video by Shinart, the artist demonstrates the graphic design process of the evolution of Charmander in ghost type, which is a little bizarre because we are aware that Charmander has an orange body and blue eyes primarily. It’s incredible to see Charmander evolve into a unique type and color in this evolution. The artist’s email address and website are also included in his description.


7. CYNDAQUIL

Cyndaquil is a fire-type starter Pokémon, which we would also never forget because of its stunningly beautiful features. In this Youtube video by Adve Adminis, Cyndaquil has future alternative evolutions. There are ten Instagram accounts in the description that have helped with Cyndaquil’s evolution concepts.


8. TOTODILE

The artist with the username InProgressPokémon created an evolution of our water-type Pokémon, Totodile, which is well known for its well-developed and powerful jaws that could crush anything. This Totodile’s evolution is indeed fantastic! Also, the artist’s version consists of five stages, which he designed and created.


9. PIPLUP

Piplup is one of the most adorable Pokémons on the starter list because of its penguin-like features. The artist, The Atoni Region, has created a Piplup evolution unlike any other! In his Instagram account, he uploaded his work, where his design specifically shows that Piplup has extensive ice water abilities. It manifests through the powerful ice crown and the sharp eye look.


10. FROAKIE

Last but not least is the water-type Pokémon, Froakie. In this Froakie evolution, the artist named ForrestAnthony has done outstanding work. Froakie evolves into Frogadier and Greninja. The artist has unleashed his creative skills to show us how Froakie would be like in alternative evolution.
