Analysis:
The official heights of the characters in the show are still currently unknown or undisclosed. The data presented in this article is an estimated height data for the characters. The estimated heights are all based on our research and observations.
Shiori Katase is the main protagonist/heroine of the show. She is the “tiny senpai” in the show. Her estimated height, in this article, was used as a frame of reference in calculating other characters’ heights. Shiori Katase’s height was first estimated by observing her scale difference towards a door and a doorknob in the trailer of the show. Later, once we had Katase’s estimated height, we created an estimate for other characters by observing the scale difference between them and Katase in the Key Visual image of the image; it can be viewed clearly on this one Reddit Discussion about the Anime.
By observing the frame above, we can see both Takuma Shinozaki and Katase Shiori stand in relative frame towards an apartment door. Apartment door’s heights fall under the standard door height which is 80 inches according to one DoornMore article.
By observing the frame again, we can see that the top neck height of Katase is in the same line as the doorknob. In this scenario, if we are able to create an estimated height value for that doorknob in the frame, then we can also create a scaling/visual height estimate for Katase, the only problem we would have is that we will need to find the height value of doorknobs.
According to this one article from H2ouse.Org, all door handles, pulls, latches, and locks should be installed at least 34 inches from the finished floor. On most people, this means that the door handle will be comfortably situated around their hip area.
In this case, we can then assume that the doorknob in that frame is somewhere around the height of 34 inches (86.36 cm). If this is true, then with the help of Hikaku Sitatter Height Comparison Tool, we can create a visual estimate for Katase’s height, giving her an estimated height range of around 106 cm.
Now that we have Shiori Katase’s height, we can now proceed and try to estimate other characters’ heights by scaling them next to Katase.
First one would be Takuma Shinozaki, the male protagonist of the show. By using Hikaku Sitatter Height Comparison Tool it appears that he is pretty likely to be near the average adult Japanese male height of 170.8cm, since Katase’s total height (106 cm) seems to be on the same height level as his stomach. This can be observed in the frame below, taken from the Key Visual of the anime.
Another character in the anime, Chinatsu Hayakawa (blonde haired girl), appears to have a total height in level with Takuma Shinozaki’s shoulder height. This means that she is probably somewhere around the height range of 140 cm.
As for Chihiro Akino, he appears to be slightly taller compared to Takuma Shinozaki. Based on the Visual Key image we have above, he is probably somewhere around the height of 173 cm.
