The world can be a cruel and harsh place. And when faced with a challenge, most people love to respond to it by choosing the easy way out. But in The Hero Code, we learned that heroes don’t give up; instead, they persevere.
So if you want to live your life like a hero, make sure that you won’t fold when things get hard. And most importantly, always respond to challenges in life by doing what you believe is right.
2. MAKING SACRIFICES ARE WHAT HEROES EAT FOR BREAKFAST
Most people are good at consoling other people when they’re upset but not so good at sacrificing their own needs for the sake of others. And in The Hero Code, we learned that heroes make sacrifices for others.
It doesn’t have to be a big sacrifice; it just needs to be sincere and wholehearted. Because as long as you’re willing to put other people’s needs first before yours, you can already call yourself a hero.
3. INTEGRITY IS A KEY QUALITY OF EVERY HERO
Heroes are not defined by their position or power but by the quality of their actions. This is called integrity. And in The Hero Code, we learned that integrity makes you trustworthy, which then attracts you to responsibility, love, and friendship.
So how does one have integrity? Well, you don’t need to overthink it as it could be as simple as standing up for what you believe in and choosing the hard but right way to success instead of the easy way.
4. HEROES TAKE THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES SERIOUSLY
In The Hero Code, we learned that imprisoned and tortured Americans never gave up any intelligence to the Vietnamese army during the Vietnam war. And that heroism is undoubtedly an incomparable one as they were able to fulfill their duties even when their lives were at stake.
We all have different duties and responsibilities in life. And every day, we face challenges and failures concerning them. That’s why always remember that no matter how horrible things get, a true hero never quits on their responsibility.
5. A HERO IS SOMEONE WHO CAN INSPIRE OTHERS
The best way to lift someone when they are down is to offer them a source of hope. And in The Hero Code, we learned that giving someone hope is considered heroic.
Just like with making sacrifices, giving hope and inspiration to others doesn’t need to be big. You just need to believe that the person you’re giving hope to can get through what they’re going through.
