ANALYSIS OF GALAXY S21 V S22 DISPLAY SIZE, DIMENSIONS, AND WEIGHT

This year’s Samsung Galaxy S22 series are coincidentally the same as last year’s when the South Korean smartphone manufacturer came out with 3 models: S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra.

They are doing it again with the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra which are similar when compared but with some marked differences.

It seems that the S22 and S22 Plus are slimmer and lighter than its S21 counterparts. That is, the S22 Plus’ 157.4 x 75.8 x 7.6mm dimensions and display sizes make for a sleeker device than the S21 Plus’ 161.5 x 75.6 x 7.8 mm measurements.

The lighter S22 Plus is also 196 g versus the S21 Plus’ 202 g. The S21 and S22 Ultra are almost the same, nonetheless.

The S21 series uses the Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 processor. This year, on the other hand, the S22 series will get the upgraded Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which makes for faster processing, smooth-running apps and quicker browsing.

The cameras are similar in comparison except that the S22 and S22 Plus has 50 megapixels for its main camera. The S21 counterparts have 12 megapixels in comparison. The manufacturer says the 50MP will enhance night photography and filming with crisper results.

The major highlight of the S22 series is the S22 Ultra’s built in S Pen which is a first of its kind in the line. It boasts smoother pen strokes for writing, sketching, and controlling.

ANALYSIS OF GALAXY S21 V S22 BATTERY AND CHARGING SUPPORT

The batteries of the S22 and S22 Plus are a tad smaller than the S21 counterparts with 3700 mAh and 4500 mAh. Being slightly smaller and lighter, it stands to reason why it holds that much power.

The S22 Plus and S22 Ultra though have faster charging with 45W as opposed to the S21 Plus and S21 Ultra’s 25W.
