LA LA LAND CAST MEMBERS:
1. RYAN GOSLING
Canadian actor Ryan Gosling, who played Sebastian, had gone over and beyond for his role in La La Land. He allotted time and effort in learning the piano to play his part as a jazz pianist for the movie. With passion and perseverance, he won Best Performance by an Actor from the Golden Globe Awards in 2017.
As listed by IMDb, Gosling then went ahead and starred in three films in 2017 and another one in 2018. In 2019, he voiced Blue Penguin in the TV movie My Favorite Shapes by Julio Torres before he laid back from acting for two years. He was said to appear in The Grayman, which will be released in 2022, and is already in talks for new acting projects.
2. EMMA STONE
Award-winning actress Emma Stone, who played the female lead Mia, doesn’t fall far from her role as she also became more successful in her career. She landed a role in Battle of the Sexes in 2017 and followed through with an 18th century-themed show, The Favourite, in 2018. She also received voice acting projects for a TV movie and video short.
In 2021, Stone came back strong with her role in the Walt Disney movie Cruella. She had just finished filming a short film and was reported to appear in the movie Poor Things, which will be released next year.
3. JOHN LEGEND
Singer, songwriter, and record producer John Legend, who played Keith, is well-known for his exceptional musicality. He also co-wrote and performed Start a Fire for the movie’s soundtrack. Legend also won an Oscar Award for Best Achievement in Music – Written for Motion Pictures for his work in Selma. Aside from acting and being a musician, he also produces films and does voice acting for animated characters. This year, Legend is currently visiting different states and cities to perform for his Bigger Love Tour, which starts on September 9 and ends on October 20.
4. J.K. SIMMONS
Veteran actor J.K. Simmons, who portrayed Bill in La La Land, currently has 211 acting credits under his name. After his role in the movie, he bagged three acting roles in the same year and at least nine films and shorts for 2017. In 2018, he voiced Dr. Moore in The Boxcar Children – Surprise Island and appeared in Farmers Insurance: Vengeful Vermin. In 2021, Simmons is currently appearing in at least nine series and movies. He stars as Carl in Ride the Eagle and James Forester in The Tomorrow War. Now, he is also already in talks for several 2022 projects.
5. ROSEMARIE DEWITT
Rosemarie Dewitt, who portrayed Laura, received many roles after her stint in La La Land. She played Bernadette Barrett in Sweet Virginia and Rose Brady in The Last Tycoon. She also got a recurrent role in the TV mini-series Little Fires Everywhere. In 2018, Dewitt won Best Performance in the Walla Walla Movie Crush Awards for her work in Magic Bullet. This year, she appeared in The Same Storm and the TV series An Uncandid Portrait while also filming another two series that are set to be released anytime this year.
