ABOUT TIME CAST MEMBERS
1. DOMNHALL GLEESON
The main lead, Tim, played by Domnhall Gleeson, had changed his life around in the film. Not far from his role, Gleeson is also experiencing the best in the world as his acting skills brought him to the center of the limelight. He bagged countless movies after that and has won Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Frank in the 2015 Irish Film and Television Awards, per IMDb.
Gleeson was also best known for his roles as programmer Caleb Smith in Ex Machina and in the Star Wars trilogy, where he played the brutal General Hux. Aside from being a leading man and playing roles in mainstream cinema, he also lends his voice, acting in the animated film Peter Rabbit 2, as a narrator for Earth’s Greatest Spectacles and voicing a role in the video game Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In 2021, he stars in the TV series Frank of Ireland and is currently filming The White House Plumbers.
2. MARGOT ROBBIE
Tim’s summer love, Charlotte, played by Margot Robbie, had received more screentime and critical acclaim. She starred in the film The Wolf of Wall Street, where she won Best Female Newcomer in the UK Empire Awards and Breakthrough Performance of the Year in the Golden Schmoes Awards. In 2017, she got the lead role for the biographical film I, Tonya, where she received at least seven acting wins from different film societies and associations. Elle also gave her the Woman of the Year award.
Robbie is also a philanthropist and became a vocal supporter of human and women’s rights. For 2021, she reprised her role as Harley Quinn in The Suicide Squad and is currently filming many movies for 2022, including an untitled Wes Anderson film.
3. BILL NIGHY
Veteran British actor Bill Nighy had won Best Supporting Actor in the San Sebastian International Film Festival for About Time in 2013. After his stint as Tim’s father, he starred in several international films and even voiced Socrates in the animated feature Norm of the North.
In addition, romance is still in the air for the 71-year-old actor as he was recently spotted on a dinner date with journalist Anna Wintour in Rome this year. He also starred in the 2021 movie Buckley’s Chance and is set to appear in films Heidi: Queen of the Mountain and Living.
4. LYDIA WILSON
Charlotte’s best friend Kit Kat, played by Lydia Wilson, had met various misfortunes in the film. Luckily for Wilson, she did not have the same fate as she continued to receive lots of casting calls for multiple shows. She got best known for her role as Kalara in Star Trek Beyond, Mimi Morton in the TV series Ripper Street, and in her lead role as Matilda in Requiem. This year, Wilson is active on radio as a narrator for Kazuo Ishiguro’s sci-fi story Klara and the Sun.
5. LINDSAY DUNCAN
Tim’s mom, played by Lindsay Duncan, had garnered several acting accolades since then. Starting from the Best Actress Award of the British Independent Film Awards, she showed her finesse as a married academic in Le-Weekend. Aside from full-length films, she also starred in various shorts and TV series.
Adding to her list of acting acclaims are two other best actress awards from her lead role in award-winning, extraordinary film November 1st. She also voiced Octavia in the TV series His Dark Materials. In 2021, she is set to appear in A Banquet and TV series Inside Number 9.
