An insect that can “skate” or float on water, how cool is that? With that, let’s meet the Sea Skater of Octonauts in real life!

If you’re wondering what those floating creatures on ponds, sea, or stagnant waters are, they’re called Water Striders or Sea Skaters. With their tiny bodies and thin legs, they freely float on the water’s surface. According to The National Wildlife Federation website, their legs have microscopic hairs that repel the water and capture air, thus, allowing them to walk on water’s surface.
