Ranked: 10 Inventively Drawn Electric-Type Pokémon

Zap! Prepare as these inventively drawn electric-type Pokémon electrify your interests!

1. PIKACHU

As the face of the franchise, Pikachu’s popularity is not a surprise. But, with its cheery attitude and overflowing cuteness, isn’t it intriguing to know what Pikachu would look like in real life? Straight away, artist LindseyWArt delivered a lifelike version of the Pokémon. The concept thought by the artist is simply creative. After witnessing this, you’ll surely want to own this fluffy Pikachu!

2. RAICHU

Following Pikachu’s real-life version, let’s now move on to its second evolution. Finally, after the adorable look of Pikachu, we can say that Raichu’s appearance has a touch of elegance. But with JoshuaDunlop’s design, Raichu looks modern. This artwork does stand out as it gives off the Pokémon’s menacing side.

3. ELECTABUZZ

Here’s another JoshuaDunlop’s realistic artwork. Electabuzz’s original design from the game has a softer appearance despite its tough personality. However, in Joshua’s interpretation, this Pokémon looks aggressive. To further establish its “aggressiveness,” the artist gave it a massive height and a face resembling the ferocious sabertooth.

4. VOLTORB

The final artwork from JoshuaDunlop that we will feature is Voltorb’s. The artist once again surprised us with his detailed work and innovative concept. We love Voltorb’s new look! The Pokémon’s skin got a steel-like texture while its eyes got a fiercer design. Indeed, Joshua’s forte in re-designing the Pokémon is to make them look badass.

5. MAGNETON

Next, let’s now talk about one of the underrated Pokémon. But, be prepared to get pulled by Magneton’s real-life appearance. Artist Guglielmo Turbian created an “in-depth” artwork for this Pokémon. While staying true to its original design, Guglielmo still managed to make the Magneton appear alive! Check out how detailed and precise the artwork is. Without a doubt, this is a hidden gem!

6. ZAPDOS

Moving on, we’re about to witness another arvalis illustration. The Pokémon that the artist featured is Zapdos, who is notable for its quirky appearance. However, arvalis’ version is actually terrifying—Zapdos’ real-life appearance appears to be a gigantic and cold-blooded kingfisher bird. Furthermore, the electric currents that surround it heighten Pokémon’s threatening aura.

7. JOLTEON

Next, this illustration by artist Ruth-Tay features a stunning Jolteon. First, it’s commendable how the artist depicted the Pokémon as a cheetah. Second, the brushstrokes gave an almost realistic effect to Jolteon’s overall appearance. Lastly, we appreciate the way Ruth-Ray creatively combined power and serenity in one. Hence, producing this masterpiece!

8. MORPEKO

Following the stunning Jolteon artwork, now we have another adorable Pokémon that will surely make you gush. Artist PaperweightJoe artistically turned Morpeko into a loveable hamster. Take a look at the tiny details added by Joe. With this, the artwork makes you want to take this Pokémon home.

9. AMPHAROS

You don’t want to miss this realistically drawn Ampharos. This time, the artist Twarda8 slightly strayed from the Pokémon’s cartoonish appearance. Instead, Ampharos has more pronounced sheep-like features and has zebra-like stripes. By far, this is the best artwork for this Pokémon.

10. GALVANTULA

Lastly, if you’re not a fan of spiders, artist ReneCampbellArt’s Galvantula is not for you. The artist precisely captured the arachnids’ features and fused them with Galvantula’s original design, thus, creating a creepy yet remarkable version.
