Lemmy Of “Octonauts” In Real Life

A friendly shark can’t be bad, right? Well, the Octonauts met a perfect example of a sociable shark. He is Lemmy the Lemon Shark. If you want to know Lemmy in real life, be familiar with him through this article!

We are used to the idea that sharks can be vicious and dangerous. In other words, they have a bad reputation for most of us humans. However, our new friend named Lemmy, will change our perspective about sharks.

First, let us know why Lemmy is called a Lemon Shark. According to the Oceana website, they are called Lemon Sharks because of their yellow-colored skin. This skin color is essential and perfect for camouflaging on their sandy tropical habitats. With this, they can hunt their food.

Another thing about the Lemon Sharks’ appearances is that they possess a stocky build, flattened head, and short snout. Their short snout makes them a predator against bony fishes, crustaceans, and stingrays. Lastly, they can grow up to 10 feet long. Thus, they are deemed as one of the large species of sharks.

In the series, Lemmy has displayed great speed in swimming; however, the We Love Sharks website revealed that an average Lemon Shark swims with a speed rate of 2 miles per hour.

Now, you might think that the Lemon Shark’s name may sound sour, but in reality, they can be a sweetheart. From what we have read from the ThoughtCo website, the Lemon Shark’s robust and large build does not make them a risk to humans.

Additionally, the National Geographics cited the Animal Journal, which says that Lemon Sharks could be friendly. This shark species is seen to display social characteristics among humans. Additionally, Lemon Sharks like to interact with their kind.

Without a doubt, Lemmy is a friend we want to have!
