The term “big cat” is typically used to refer to any of the five living members of the genus Panthera, namely the lion, tiger, jaguar, leopard, and snow leopard, as well as the non-pantherine cheetah and cougar. With that being said, here are the Big Cat cartoon characters in real life.
1. PINK PANTHER

The Pink Panther is one of the most unique characters. Born from a movie title sequence, and featuring no voice, he is perhaps the only cartoon character based on elegance and “style.” Like Roger Rabbit, he is one of the few theatrical cartoon superstars to be created since the end of the Fifties. His popularity continues on much to the surprise of those who created him over 25 years ago.
There’s no such thing as a real pink panther, besides the jewel with the same name. But some fans of the show have recreated this character with their amazing drawing talents and this is a very close idea to what a realistic pink panther would look like. Extravagant and head-turning!
Apart from color, the black panther is believed to be less fertile than normal-colored big cats and also much more unpredictable and aggressive. It is also said that black panthers have good hearing, extremely good eyesight, and a strong jaw.
2. BAGHEERA

Bagheera is a black panther the color of ink, who most in the jungle obeys, and are also a little afraid of. He is one of Mowgli’s main teachers, the other being Baloo, and is a great guide and example to him. He loves the “man-cub” dearly and the two spend a lot of time together.
Melanism is the name of the dark color pigmentation mutation in a jaguar or leopard that causes the fur to be blackish, it occurs in about 6% of the population.
Black panthers are great swimmers and are one of the strongest tree climbing big cats, often pouncing on prey from a tree, they are capable of leaping up to 20 feet to catch their prey which includes medium-sized animals like deer and monkeys and smaller rabbits and birds.
3. SIMBA

Simba was introduced at the beginning of the movie as the next heir for Mufasa. The next lion king so to speak. We all know that Scar wasn’t too happy at all about that. But this little king grows up later in the movie to become the heir he was born to be.
In real life, lions are not as friendly as Simba is with other species like wild pigs and meerkats. But if treated well they could build a nice relationship with humans, as Valentin Gruener has taught us. We just need to learn to respect their boundaries, and they will do the same. Animals behave reciprocally.
An almost unbelievable fact is that the famous cartoon adaptation of Hamlet starring a bunch of lions isn’t exactly biologically accurate. The way lion prides work in real life; well, it’s very different from the way things happen in The Lion King. Namely, in real lion prides, the female lions are the ones in charge. Now that’s a reboot I would watch.
4. TIGGER
Next is definitely the most exciting member of Winnie the Pooh’s gang, Tigger is almost obnoxiously energetic. This character is known for being Pooh’s best friend, who is always bouncing around on his tail and cheering everyone up with his enthusiastic personality.
These felines are the largest cat species in the world and only the third-largest carnivore on land. They are solitary animals, with the exception of mothers and their cubs. Individual tigers roam across large areas, also known as home ranges, the size of which is determined by the availability of food.
So Winnie The Pooh and all his friends would only serve as bait to this powerful animal in the real world.
5. KIMBA

The next character is one from a very popular Japanese series named Kimba, The White Lion. Kimba is a kind-hearted, caring cub who constantly looks out for his friends. Naive and idealistic, he sees the world of humans and tries to use it to make the lives of his animal friends better.
Kimba is a white lion, as the title of his series says; these animals are very precious, we could say they’re even kind of mythological. The first sighting of a White Lion was in 1938. The Africans believed that the White Lion was a messenger from God, if you happened to disrespect them, they would feel the wrath.
This species rarity is due to the fact that white lions are a mutation that can only happen if the mother and father have the same gene. The phrase “White Lions are incapable of living in the wild” is because of their lack of camouflage.
