A monkey with boots and a fox with a mask? It doesn’t sound very realistic, but I’m sure Dora The Explorer fans have imagined what it would be like to have a magic backpack that helps them get to places. With that, here are some Dora characters in real life.
1. FOX
Foxes are mischievous, playful animals with a marked preference for articles made of leather or plastic that they can easily take away. A wide range of objects can be found close to a breeding den. Besides pieces of paper, plastic, and bone, there is an array of leather goods like chewed shoes, gardening gloves, or balls. Fox cubs have used them to play with. These “toys” are apparently presented to the young cubs by adult foxes.
2. MONKEY
Next is Boots, Dora’s favorite monkey that goes jumping with his red boots and spreading happiness all around. He’s a very energetic monkey always doing stunts, which opens the question: Are real monkeys that athletic? The answer is they can be. Monkeys have amazing abilities to jump and hold on to almost anything with their tails.
3. BULL
Next, we have Benny. Benny is that one friend who is always getting in trouble and requires a little bit of help to get out there. He is a six-year-old bull with a huge heart. But are bulls clumsy? Let’s find out. Bulls are very dangerous animals. They are one of the most hazardous types of livestock to own, let alone be around. They are not slow or dumb, nor are they clumsy or stupid. A bull can, from a stand-still, turn on a dime faster than you can react.
4. SQUIRREL
The next and last character is Tico. Tico doesn’t appear in all episodes. He is a purple squirrel that lives in the forest and can speak Spanish more than English. He is always the one driving any vehicle to help Dora and his friends fulfill their heroic handles. In real life, squirrels can be quite heroic or at least look like it. A photo of a squirrel making a heroic pose had been going around the internet, and people didn’t hesitate to photoshop it and turn it into actual movie flyers or something else. It’s amazing what the internet can do nowadays!
