Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese dark fantasy anime based on Sui Ishida’s manga of the same name. Its action, horror, and supernatural genre inspired fans to bring the character’s cold look to life. With that, here’s the list of the best Tokyo Ghoul cosplay.
1. Gesha Petrovich
Let’s start strong with this eerie yet fascinating cosplay by Gesha Petrovich from DeviantArt. Kaneki’s white hair, ghoul eyes, and mask were partnered with Kaneki’s Anteiku waiter uniform, looking solid. It’s not just the accurate costume that completed the portrayal, but Gesha even incorporated Kaneki’s manic persona through her posture.
2. Lei Sakuragi
This Cosplayer Lei Sakuragi from Facebook brought Touka to life. Her overall costume is fantastic, but what made this photo hauntingly beautiful is DeviantArt user theDevil_photography’s editing skills that even made Touka’s kagune alive.
The series’ beautiful nightmare was brought to life by cosplayer MsKuroAlice from DeviantArt. Aside from her accurate depiction, photographer Simply Random showed what lies beneath Rize’s innocent facade.
Cosplayer Yao from World Cosplay made an impressive Shuu cosplay. Instead of showing the calm and elegant facade of Shuu, he made a twist by depicting a predacious ghoul looking for his next victim. His costume is spot-on and even incorporated Shuu’s kagune.
Uta may look like he just stepped out of the series, but actually, this is cosplayer LALAx from DeviantArt. He successfully slayed Uta’s unique look–from the hair, tattoos, mask, and clothes. To stay true to the character, photographer Gary highlighted different masks in the photo to emphasize Uta’s mask business.
Cosplayer numasan0704 from Instagram rocked his Amon cosplay. His looks mirror Amon’s Ghoul Investigator appearance, from the hair, make-up, and coat. He even included a well-crafted Doujima spear. Undoubtedly, the whole photo looks like it came from one of the live-action scenes of the series.
Cosplayer choukandii from Instagram showcased an excellent Juuzou portrayal. His attention to detail is fantastic, which definitely shows in his cosplay. His wig, make-up, wardrobe, and pose are accurate in bringing Juuzou’s mad and twisted nature.
Last on our list is cosplayer Sara from World Cosplay, who showcased her take on Eto. From the excellent-made bandaged costume, innocent-like posture, and the eerie photo-editing, Sara delivered the series’ antagonist to life.
