This new character is hard to miss. An expert cave diver, she is believed to be a Wombat. With that said, here is Ryla of Octonauts in real life.

Let’s start by comparing their appearances. Ryla is seen to have gray fur and incisors. Since she is a cave diver, she dons an orange and purple suit and helmet. On the other hand, Wombats can have various fur colors, but it is mostly seen with grey-brown fur. They have short legs, compact heads, large incisors, short and broad feet.
Moving on, let’s compare their abilities. As we have mentioned before, Ryla is an expert cave diver. Confirming the reason why she is a wombat, wombats are known to be burrowing animals. According to National Geographic, wombats have strong claws that allow them to dig burrows in lands and forests. These burrows serve as their habitats and can turn into complex tunnels.

Next, Wombats are nocturnal animals. We have read from Live Science that they spend their nights to forage food or burrow more lands. When the cold days come, they go out of their habitats, busk under the sun, and warm-up. They have a pretty simple life.
At first glance, Wombats looked like Koalas. Well, they are their close relatives. However, they don’t share the same ability to climb; instead, Wombats are better at swimming than climbing trees.

They might look slow because of their stocky build, but according to Wired.com, they are fast runners, running up to 25 miles per hour, and can maintain this speed for a minute and a half.
Just a reminder, they might look adorable, but this creature can be aggressive and territorial. Aggravated wombats will scratch, bite, and bowl you as they charge.
